CORRECTIVE EXERCISE AND STRETCHING

Here at BBS we specialize in movement correction.  Often we use a program called Active Isolated Stretching.  AIS is a corrective exercise program developed by Aaron Mattes over 45 years ago.  AIS includes over 200 stretches that are specifically designed to isolate each muscle in a gentle, yet effective manner.  Unlike many stretching programs, you will not experience pain during and you will not be sore following.  Most clients remark about how relaxing the movements make them feel.  Each one-on-one session is customized to your specific problem areas or can be generalized to stretch the body from head to toe.  Many of our clients choose to simply enjoy the stretching program as a maintenance and prevention of pain and problems. For others, the muscle imbalanced can be further addressed through isolated strengthening exercises.  These sessions are similar to physical therapy, with one-on-one assessment, coaching, and hands on work.  Corrective sessions can be beneficial to anyone seeking to remove years of misuse, improve general flexibility, or to prepare for an exercise program.  Any musculoskeletal condition can be helped including: sports injuries, back or neck pain, carpal tunnel, rotator cuff tears, and plantar fasciitis.  Whether you are interested in preventing problems, recovering from surgery, or simply want to enjoy the relaxation of the stretching program, we are here to help
